Use and application of the TSM(Time Series Management) self-service

1. Description and scope of processing

Forschungszentrum Jülich hosts instance of the TSM self-service application as part of the self-organized digital infrastructure for environmental measurement facilities.

2. User data processed by Forschungszentrum Jülich

The following user-related data is processed when contacting by e-mail or using the contact form:

Users are authenticated using the Identity Provider of their respective institute. Passwords are not stored in the database.
The types of user-related information collected to operate the application include the following:

• Given name, surname
• E-mail address
• Organization
• Website (if available)
• ORCID (if available)

For certain actions, the application also stores information on which user performed the respective action and when.
Data about times and users are stored when setting up/modifying the following:

• Loggers
• Sources
• QA/QCs
• Project Sites & Labs

Individuals are still assigned to the Loggers as contacts to assign responsibilities and facilitate consultation for questions about the Loggers.

The application cannot be used to analyse user behaviour.
